HTS-Annual Prize day

The Red House, having scored the maximum points both in sports and academics, being the best House, emerged as the proud winner of the Cock House Trophy at the annual prize distribution function held at the Holy Trinity School (HTS), an annexe of the Boys' High School (BHS) & College here.

The Cock House Trophy was received jointly by the Red House Captain Karan Khanna and Vice-captain, Ayush Agarwal, from the chief guest, Mr. Mudit Chandra, North Central Railway's Personnel Officer.

Also went from his hands the Cricket and Football Trophies to the Blue House (Captain Shubham Chauhan and Vice-captain Akash Chaudhary), Handball Trophy to the Yellow House (Captain J Jadwani and Vice captain A Somvan), Basketball Trophy to the Red House, and the Badminton Trophy to the Green House (Captain Harchit Makheja and Vice captain Vinyan Chitransh).

The chief guest and his wife, Mrs. Bela Chandra, Assistant Income tax Commissioner, were welcomed on their arrival by the HTS Principal, Mr. C. V. Innes, and Headmistress, Mrs. D. Innes, and were led to the dais through the aisle of the spacious Dorinda Hall, packed to its capacity by the proud parents of the prize winning children, teachers and invites.

Mrs. Bela Chandra gave away individual prizes amid cheers to nearly 170 students of various classes, ranging from Nursery to class VIII, for their meritorious academic performance in various subjects.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Mudit Chandra emphasised that participation in extra curricular activities, time management, and leadership had a great role to play in leading a student towards fulfillment of his ambition and goals. You are the future of the country, and of all things, India looks ahead to your excellence and leadership in different national segments, said Mr. Chandra. Towards this, the parents have also a significant responsibility to discharge towards their children, he added.

As per the points earned in sports and academic, the Red House scored 396 points, leaving behind the Blue, Green and Yellow with 250, 225 and 189 points respectively.

At the end, while thanking everyone, HTS headmistress, Mrs. D. Innes congratulated all the prize winners and their parents and expressed her deep appreciation for all, including the teaching staff, for doing so much to keep the HTS on move.
