The students of the Boys High School (BHS) and College once again gave a brilliant academic performance in the ICSE (X) and ISC (12) examination this year. In the ICSE (X), the school has achieved 99.70 per cent results while in the ISC (12), result was 98.10 per cent. The excellent results bore testimony to the quality of education imparted at the school.
The mood was upbeat at the BHS campus. The BHS boys not only had maintained but also improved further on earlier years’ track record of academic excellence. “The BHS students have once again made the institution—in fact, Allahabad—immensely proud by maintaining its long tradition of academic excellence, and I heartily congratulate them, wishing them all far more striking success in the years to come, not only in the academic realm but also in other segments of their life,” said BHS Principal CV Innes, while expressing his satisfaction and happiness on this year’s results. He also congratulated all the teachers who worked tirelessly throughout the academic session. In ISC (XII), Science Group, cent per cent students were successful and while in the class XII (Commerce Group), the results was 94.8 per cent. All the 171 students who appeared for the examination were declared successful and of them nearly 100 students have secured aggregate marks between 80 and 90 per cent. In English, 56 students got 80 and above marks while in Computer Science, almost one-third have secured 90 and above marks. In all, 269 students appeared for the examination, out of which 264 were declared successful. In class X, Shreyas Verma and Shubham Singh shared the top honours with 95.25 per cent marks. Shubham Shukla and Kaustubh Rai with 94.80 and 94.60 per cent a marks were placed in the second and third positions in the order of merit. Nehal Ahmad with 94.2 per cent marks came fourth while Sachin Pandey and Akshat Pandey with 93.80 per cent marks each occupied the fifth place in the order of merit. In all, 366 candidates appeared for the examination, out of which 365 were declared successful and more than 150 students have secured 80 per cent and above marks in the aggregate. Umair Siddiqui secured cent per cent marks in Mathematics. In the ISC (12), Arpit Gupta topped the list of candidates with 94.75 per cent followed by Ankan Kumar with 93.50 per cent marks. Rajat Roy, Shubham Dixit and Kunal Arora with 92 per cent each shared the third position in the order of merit. Sankalp Gupta and Vinayak Mithal with 91.25 per cent each and Ashish Tripathi, Manav Bansal and Vibhor Garg with 91 per cent marks each were placed in the fourth and fifth positions respectively in the order of merit.
