Roller Skating

    Roller skating is an art which catches the eye in an instant. Its just so amazing to see someone perform on wheels. But it requires intense concentration, intensity and a firm control over the body.
   For the first time in the city, a Roller skating camp was organized in Boys’ High School during the winter vacations. The camp began on December 17, 2007 and ended by January 10, 2008. Students from various schools of the city participated in the camp. As this activity was one of its kind so it attracted many children.
   Skating has its own benefits. It is an exercise which involves total body movements. A bit of carelessness can cause an injury. So it also involves a lot of courage too. The added benefit of skating is that it provides a good exercise to the body.
   The students were trained in this camp by a well-trained skater Mr. Harsh Gupta. He taught them various skills like forward skating, backward skating, zig-zag, J-stop, circle round and many other techniques. To test the skills of the students a competition was held at the end of the camp. The results were:

   Total 23 students had participated in this camp. The participants were: M.
