Boys’ High School (BHS) and College celebrated its Founder’s Day with much fanfare and éclat. On this occasion, an impressive Thanksgiving Service was held at the historic All Saints’ Cathedral. The Thanksgiving Service was attended by Principals, teachers and students of Boys’ High School (BHS) and College, its annexe, Holy Trinity School (HTS) and Girls’ High School (GHS) and College. The Chairman of the schools, Rt. Rev. Collin C Theodore, Moderator’s Commissary, Diocese of Lucknow, Church of North India was the Chief Guest.
Boys’ High School, Allahabad has been at the forefront of providing quality education, said Shri B. L. Joshi, Governor of Uttar Pradesh, here on Tuesday. He was speaking as chief guest on the national release of a Commemorative Postage Stamp on Boys’ High School to mark 150 years of service in the field of education. The Department of India Posts, Ministry of Communications, New Delhi had approved the release of a Commemorative Postage Stamp on November 5th. The day assumes special significance as it happens to be the Founders’ Day of the school.
The three-day Inter-institutional cultural festival, ‘Alfresco-2013’, organized by the Boys’ High School (BHS) and College to facilitate personality development, confidence building and inter-personal relationships among the students fraternity began with a bang amidst great enthusiasm at the newly renovated Middle School hall on Thursday. The Chief Guest on this occasion was Rev. G. Daud, Presbyter-in-charge of All Saints' Cathedral and Secretary of Allahabad High School Society.
The three-day Inter Institutional Cultural and Games Extravaganza, ‘Alfresco 2013’ ended with the host, Boys’ High School (BHS) and College team bagging the Championship Trophy. The runners up trophy went to Girls’ High School (GHS) and College with St. Anthony’s Convent (SAC) notching up the third position. Barnes School and Junior College stood fourth while Mary Lucas School and College was placed in the fifth position.
