Middle School (6, 7 & 8)
The Middle School hall of the Boys' High School and College with the beautiful poetic chants on the 31st of August 2013, which left the spectators rapt. The Annual English Elocution and Choral recitation was successfully organised by the Middle School (6-8).
The newly chosen team of office-bearers of the Boys’ High School (BHS) and College for the academic session 2013-14 was sworn in at a colourful investiture ceremony held in the Flynn Hall here with fanfare and gaiety on Friday. The chief guest on the occasion was Prof Yogeshwar Tiwari of the Department of Medieval and Modern History, Allahabad University.
The swimmers proved their mettle and class by creating seven new records on the final day of Open Aquatic competition organised by Boys’ High School and College, held at BHS swimming pool. More than 150 participants from eminent educational institutions took part in this event. Among the notable were HTS, SJC, SMC, BGS, MPVM, HopeTown, Welham, YMCA, GHS, ECPS, BJS, etc. The Chief Guest for this occasion was Lt. Col M. P. Dinesh. The first two days of the contest were thrilling and full of spirit as the competition has produced some record breaking performances. The record breakers of BHS were Swapnil Sen (100m Individual Medly, 50m Breast Stroke, 50m Free Style), Harshit Nath (50m Back Stroke) and Harsh Purwar (50m Free Style). Other students who made the records were Punyaja Sinha of Hope Town and Shreya Kumar of SMC.
The 67th Independence Day was celebrated at the Boys’ High School (BHS) and College with great fanfare and gaiety. The entire school was beautifully decorated with tricolour flags. The atmosphere in the school was surcharged with patriotism. Hon’ble Justice Arun Tandon, Judge of the Allahabad High Court was the Chief Guest.
With a heavy heart, the BHS fraternity bid final adieu to her very senior teacher, Mr. A. K. Dass.He joined this institution in 1950 and rendered selfless service till his retirement in 1984. He was a teacher par excellence in Chemistry and Maths. He was lovingly addressed as ‘Dada’ by his colleagues and love, honour and appreciation was showered by the boys.We, in BHS, pray for the departed soul and may God rest his soul in peace.
