The ISC (12) batch of 2012-13 of Boys’ High School (BHS) and College was given a grand farewell at a function held in the Flynn Hall on Tuesday evening. In an emotionally charged atmosphere, the students nostalgically recounted their formative years and expressed their deepest gratitude for their Alma Mater.
In his address, Mr. D. A. Luke, Principal, Boys’ High School & College encouraged the students to achieve greatest heights of glory. He also advised the students to stick to their honourable principles for it shall help them overcome the challenges in life. Moreover, he very emphatically stressed that a true BHS alumnus must know the school song verbatim so as to feel the pulse of patriotism for his school.
The students of class XI organized a number of programmes to felicitate and honour the outgoing batch of 2012-13. The respective class teachers Mrs. A R Mukhopadhyaya, Dr. Farooq Ahmad, Mr. A R Rodrigues, Mr. J Lawrence, and Mr. A Jaiswal eulogized on their class boys’ outstanding deportment in and out of the institution and in a subtle and lighter vein reminded them of their innocent pranks that sent the congregation into peals of laughter. The rockstars band of BHS – Chayan Dey, Prabhav Bhatt, Anubhav Mitra enthralled their seniors with their musical performances.

The most coveted title of Mr. BHS went to Avneesh Tiwari of class XII E. The first and second runners-up went to Atulesh Jha, class XII A and Vibhav Krishna Adhikari of class XII B, respectively.
In the end, Ms. C. Luke, Academic Coordinator, stressed on the significance of school days and how it shapes and moulds one’s character to take on future challenges. She wished everyone the best in life and was confident that the students would keep the BHS flag flying high. The programme was compered by College Section Incharge, Mr. L A M French.
