The Holy Trinity School (HTS), an annexe of Boys’ High School & College commemorated its Silver Jubilee Celebrations with a Thanksgiving Service on Monday. The service began with Mrs. Reena Mandal, Officiating Headmistress giving a brief history of the school. Rev. G. Daud led the staff, students and guests in prayer. The teachers’ choir sang a number of hymns which rendered an aura of divinity to the whole programme. The tiny tots of class Prep sang “Making Melody In My Heart” The Bible reading was done by Mrs. F. Nath and Mrs. S. Bennett.
In his message on this joyous occasion, Rt. Rev. Morris Edgar Dan, Bishop, Diocese of Lucknow (CNI) and Chairman of Allahabad High School Society (AHSS) said that, it was a wonderful opportunity for all who have witnessed the completion of 25 successful years of Holy Trinity School. It is mainly because of God’s Grace, the hard work of the teachers and performance of the students that the institution has grown to such heights. He said that Holy Trinity School stands like a shining star, guiding many in the field of education and attracting immense praise from all.
Started by late Mr. A. T. Flynn, Holy Trinity School, an Annexe of Boys’ High School, (Governed by the Allahabad High School Society, under the Chairmanship of The Bishop of Lucknow) came into being in July 1986. From a small institution with just three classes – K.G., Prep and Class 1, the school has grown by leaps and bounds to become a name to reckon with in the field of higher secondary education in the city.
The present officiating Headmistress, Mrs. Reena Mandal, has brought about a slew of changes with a goal of providing quality education to raise Holy Trinity School to the status of being an outstanding institution in the country.
Mrs. I. Dan, the First Lady of the Diocese, Mr. H. R. Mall, Secretary Allahabad High School Society, Mr. David Luke, Principal, Boys’ High School, Mrs. C. B. Luke, Mrs. N. L. Singh, Principal, Girls’ High School, Dr.(Ms.) L. R. Anthony, Principal, Mary Lucas School, Mr. and Mrs. D. Dan, Principal, Bishop Johnson School (Girls Wing), Mr. A. Paul, Treasurer Diocese of Lucknow, Rev. D. W. John of Holy Trinity Church and Mrs. L. Saunders the first headmistress of Holy Trinity School were present on this auspicious occasion.
The programme came to an end with the vote of thanks by Mrs. Reena Mandal, followed by the closing prayer and benediction by the Bishop, Rt. Rev. Morris Edgar Dan.
