The 64th Republic Day was celebrated at the Boys’ High School and College with great enthusiasm and gaiety. The entire school was artistically adorned with tricolour flags. Hon’ble Justice Dilip Gupta, Judge of the Allahabad High Court was the Chief Guest.
The function commenced with the unfurling of the National Flag by Justice Dilip Gupta, followed by the singing of the National Anthem and Lord’s Prayer by Robert Ashley. Meaningful orations were delivered in English by Atulesh Jha of Class 12, and in Hindi by Ayush Bharadwaj of Class 12.
In his nostalgic address, the Chief Guest, Justice Dilip Gupta, an alumnus of the school recalled his association with the institution and his success to grooming and education which was imparted to him received in the formative years spent in Boys’ High School. He called upon the students to work strenuously with conviction and their dreams would become a reality. He highlighted the role of teachers in moulding a student’s life for a much greater purposes.
He signified the value of time and how we should spend it constructively for the progress of the Nation and humanity at large. He emphasized on the importance of the education in shaping the destiny of the Nation. Values like honesty, integrity, and discipline go a long way in making of a true and responsible citizen.
Earlier, the Principal, Mr. D. A. Luke welcomed the gathering and stressed the importance of democracy in keeping the fabric of our society intact and vibrant. The function came to an end with a prayer by Mr Joel Lawrence. The function was conducted by Mr. L French
