The newly chosen team of office-bearers of the Boys’ High School (BHS) & College for the academic session 2010-11 were sworn in at a colourful investiture ceremony held in the Flynn Hall here on Tuesday.
The ceremony started with a short prayer by Mr. J. Lawrence. This was followed by the presentation of the badges to the new college captain, Daniel Menezes, XIID, sports captain, Shariq Ali Khan, XIID, house captains, vice-captains, cultural prefects and prefects. Speaking on the occasion the Principal, Mr. C. V. Innes exhorted the newly appointed office-bearers to set an example before others through their good conduct as it would help them to lead and inspire your fellow students. He further stressed on the accountability and responsibility of each badgeholders and asked them to keep the school flag flying high.
The function was conducted by the cultural secretary, Mr. A. David. The function came to an end with a vote of thanks by Head, College faculty, Mr V Massey. In his short speech, Mr Massey asked the students to discharge their duties with utmost dignity and responsibility.
