To commemorate Boys’ High School & College’s 150 Glorious Years of service in the field of education, the Department of Post and Telegraph issued a special cover and cancellation to mark this momentous occasion.

The Chief Guest for the occasion was Hon’ble Justice Dilip Gupta and the guest of Honour was S R Farooqui, Ex member ministry of Post and Telegraph. In his nostalgic speech Mr Farooqui stressed on the significance of the cultural value in shaping a child’s personality. He appealed to the students present to break the shackles of silence and question the present system to make it more worthwhile and efficient. He quoted  couplets of renowned poets to drive home his point. Thereafter, a symbolic cancelation was done by the Chief Guest the Most Rt Rev Philip P Marandih; Moderator, Church of North India, Mr Rt Rev Morris E. Dan, Bishop of  Diocese of Lucknow, Mr Dilip Gupta, Prof Y Tiwari. The Senior Suptd. Post office Mr. S K Rai on behalf of Government of India presented the Special Cover Albums to the honoured  guests.

The Chief Guest in his address reminiscenced his time at Boys’ High School and paid befitting tribute to his Alma Mater. He praised the rich legacy laid down by Boys’ High School & College and its indispensible efforts in making this country a strong and vibrant nation. This was followed by the school song performed by the choir group. Amongst the dignitaries present were Justice Rakesh Tiwari, Justice Balakrishna Narain, Retd. Lt. General Rana S K Kapur, Principal, GHS Mrs. N. Singh, Headmistress HTS, Mrs. R. Mandal and Mr. J. Gardner. The function was conducted by Mr. Larry French.
