The BHS swimmers dominated in the ASISC State Swimming competition held at the City Montessori Inter College, Lucknow, from 11th to 12th September 2009.
Students from different schools from Uttar Pradesh and Uttrakhand, under Association of Schools for the Indian School Certificate (ASISC), took part in this competition. In the senior group Aditya Shankar became individual champions with four individual gold medals plus one gold in relay. Again in the junior group his younger brother Udit Shankar became the individual champion in the junior group with three gold medals and one bronze medal plus one gold medal in the relay. All the other participants also won medals in the
competition. The results details are as below:
Senior group: Aditya Shankar – 4 gold and 1 gold in relay; Naveen Chandra – 2 silver, 2 bronze and 1 gold in relay; Himanshu Chaudhary – 1 bronze;
Junior group: Udit Shankar – 3 gold, 1 bronze and 1 gold in relay; Udyan Agarwal – 1 silver, 1 bronze and 1 gold in relay; Mathar Hasan – 1 bronze; Kritika Saraswat – 1 bronze and 1 silver in relay.
Besides the BHS students, other swimmers who practice in the BHS pool, and won medals are: Prakriti Kumar – 1 gold, 2 silver and 1 silver in relay; and Sanskriti Shankar – 1 silver in the relay.
