The 62nd  Independence Day was celebrated with much fanfare and enthusiasm. Despite heavy showers, the spirit of freedom was most evident amongst the staff and students of the school.

Mr C V Innes, Principal of the Boys’ High School (BHS) and College and MLA of the Anglo-Indian community in the UP Vidhan Sabha unfurled the national flag followed by the singing of the National Anthem.

Speaking on this auspicious occasion, Mr Innes stressed on the importance of a sound and strong character for the progress and development of our country and called upon the teachers to come forward and contribute their services to inculcate good and humane values in the students.

Paying glowing tributes to our freedom fighters, he recalled their sacrifices and contributions and asked the students to use their freedom with restraint and in a positive manner as it will go a long way in ensuring the forward march on the road to progress and prosperity of our country.
