The Founder's Day was celebrated with great joy and enthusiasm by the students of the Boys'High School (BHS) and College and Girls' High School (GHS) and College on Saturday morning. The students marched with School colours to the historic All Saints' Cathedral to thank the forefathers of the above two temples of learning.

Immaculately dressed in school uniform, some 250 students marched all the way to the All Saints' Cathedral from their respective institutions to offer Thanksgivings to the founders of the great institutions. The Boys' High School squad was led by the Headboy, Achint Kumar Gupta, while the Girls' High School squad was led by the Headgirl, Sana Ansari. It was a beautiful sight for the passersby and onlookers who appreciated the discipline of the students on the roads.

The ceremony began with the prayer by the Presbyter of the All Saints' Cathedral, Rev G Daud. This was followed by the reading of passages from the Bible by the Principals of Boys' High School and College, Mr CV Innes and Girls' High School and College, Mrs Priya Peters. The atmosphere inside the Church was solemn and deeply expressive of their gratitude to the Almighty for having blessed both BHS and GHS with fulfillment of their mission to serve the society by imparting quality education and churning out responsible citizens of the country.

Addressing the gathering, the chief guest, Rev Dr Valson Thampu, Principal of St. Stephen's College, New Delhi, said that Thanksgiving is a very powerful and profound experience and one must be grateful to the Almighty for his blessings.

He said that a school or college is a temple of learning and asked the students to be thankful to the school or college, teachers, parents and to the Almighty for their blessings which made their lives meaningful and successful. "The most important thing in education is to grow and become responsible citizens of the country and serve the mankind. When you walk in this direction, you gather experience, you get richer and you get transformed," said Rev. Stephen.

The Thanksgiving Service came to an end with the benediction by the Bishop of Lucknow Diocese, Church of North India, Rt Rev AR Stephen. Thereafter, the students returned to their respective institutions. There were cheers galore when the Yellow House and the Green House were adjudged as the 'Best Marching Squads' at BHS.
