The Flynn Hall of the BHS, jampacked with boys and girls as well as the principals and teachers of the participating schools, reverberated with long joyous cheers, as the HTS was the first runners-up while Saint John’s Academy (SJA) was the second runners-up in the cultural and games events.

The inter-institutional cultural and games meet was formally inaugurated by Mr. C V Innes, MLA and Principal of the Boys’ High School & College. In his short and inspiring speech he welcomed the participants and encouraged them. He stressed on the importance of interaction amongst the students to fully explore and harness their hidden talents.
Referring to the motto BHS—Mentem Hominis Spectato Non-Fontem, he emphasized that one should not be judged by his appearance but by his deeds.
