The other participating schools are Boys’ High School (BHS) and College, St John’s Academy (SJA), Mary Lucas School (MLS) and College, IPEM, Delhi Public School (DPS), St Joseph’s College (SJC) and Girls’ High School (GHS) and College.
The on stage and off stage events that will take place during the three-day meet are elocution, solo singing, group singing, quiz, collage, dumb charades, caricature, extempore, Kim’s game, painting, model display, fancy dress, pictionary, skit, lights! camera! action!, football and basketball.
In his inaugural speech, Mr CV Innes stressed on the need to recognize and appreciate the inherent talent of the children for their holistic development and added that effective classroom teaching has to be augmented with activities which develops a spirit of competition and fair play. This, in the long run helps in building the confidence and shapes the character of the individual.
In a sincere advice to the participants, he remarked that more important than winning, was the spirit of participation and asked the losers to take their defeat with grace and dignity. It is far more important to master disappointment for the one who has mastered it, can overcome the ups and down of his life with ease.
