BHS-Alfresco

As the three-day inter-school cultural festival, Alfresco-2007, concluded on Saturday night at the Boys High School (BHS) & College, its Flynn Hall, jampacked with boys and girls as well as principals and teachers of the participating schools, reverberated with long joyous cheers, as, in the cultural and sports events, the Boys' High School (BHS) & College were declared the winners in both the juniors and seniors category. In the junior category, Holy Trinity School (HTS) was the runners up in the cultural events and in the sports events, HTS and the St John's Academy (SJA) were the runners-up. In the seniors category, SJA was the runners-up in the cultural and sports events. The BHS team was awarded the Alfresco 2007 Championship Trophy at Allahabad.

At the outset, BHS Cultural Secretary AN David warmly welcomed each and everyone present at the prize distribution function, and deeply appreciated the wonderful team work which a number of BHS teachers, including V Massey, Victor Frank, P Chattree, and Veenu Frank, had done towards making Alfresco a great success. BHS Principal, Mr CV Innes, who introduced the chief guest, Bishop AR Stephen, emphasized that it was the solemn task of every school to give love affection to students, which was their right, and also to give them good education. At the top of it all, we must give them some enriching memories about their school life which they might cherish wherever they be in future, and the three-day Alfresco festival which BHS had been organizing since 1981 took care of this need, said CV Innes. The medals and trophies were distributed to all the winners by Bishop Stephen and Innes who congratulated them for their outstanding performances.
